"I didn't set out to build a traditional esthetics practice. I set out to understand the body's intelligence, and the skin turned out to be the exact place where fascia, intentional touch, and a holistic approach to beauty all converge."
My path into the beauty industry started in cosmetology, but I quickly realized my true calling lay beneath the surface. When I discovered esthetics, something profound shifted. It wasn't just about skincare; it was about how cared-for and at ease my clients felt after our sessions. That connection, the power of intentional touch, was all the confirmation I needed. I leaned in and became a licensed master esthetician.
But my journey wasn't perfectly linear. Even though I have been practicing since 2014, I frequently found myself at odds with traditional esthetics. The beauty industry is largely built on pointing out our 'flaws' and urging us to correct them through cosmetic interventions, surgeries, or endless topical products. That framing never sat right with me. I came to believe that what the industry calls a flaw is often just the skin doing something natural. When we only focus on correcting the surface, we miss the chance to understand the bigger picture of a person and how they truly want to look and feel.
That shift in perspective is what led me to open Altru Radiance in 2023. Originally founded in Salt Lake City and now rooted in Murray, Utah, I knew exactly what I needed to build: an education-based, regenerative-inspired skin studio. I wanted to create a space where you don't just have a service performed on you, but where you leave understanding your own skin. The skin is a brilliant, interconnected system, and a fascia-informed, whole-person approach to esthetics is about working with it rather than against it — so your skin looks and feels its most radiant, rested self.
Long before I had the language for it, I could feel it. Working on faces over the years, I noticed areas that felt different under my hands — places that seemed to carry more tension than others. I didn't have a framework for it yet, but I knew my clients left our sessions looking refreshed and feeling at ease, and that something was happening at the surface that went beyond what any topical product could offer.
Learning about fascia tied everything together. Fascia is the continuous web of connective tissue throughout the body, and it gives the face much of its shape and structure. When I started to see the face as a dynamic, interconnected system rather than a collection of isolated features, my whole approach to esthetics shifted. Working gently with that tissue through the skin doesn't just feel good — it is part of what gives a facial its sense of lift, tone, and glow.
I knew early on that my work was never going to be conventional. What I practice at Altru Radiance is an advanced, hands-on approach to esthetics — gentle, surface-level facial fascia work paired with lymphatic support — that works with the face rather than against it. When the face is well-supported and the skin is well-hydrated, tension naturally eases and the face looks lifted, softer, and more like its rested, youthful self. It is intentional, regenerative-inspired facial work, rooted in the belief that your radiance reflects far more than your skincare routine alone.
Beauty is more than your appearance.
It is the whole of you — cared for, supported, and at ease.

Growing up as a first-generation American in a traditional Vietnamese household shaped how I understood wellbeing long before I had any language for it. We were, by nature, a holistic household. Food, oils, herbs, and traditional practices were the first thing we turned to. Medical care came when it was needed, but a natural, whole-person mindset was always the starting point. That framework never left me.
As a child, I navigated severe, full-body psoriasis. My legs bore the brunt of it, so much so that 'Scabby Legs' became my enduring nickname. Over time, my outbreaks settled, and what stayed with me was the realization of how connected lifestyle, diet, and daily habits felt to what I saw in my own skin. Learning to pay attention to my body, rather than fight it, is how I came to see the bigger picture — and it is why I do this work today. I share my own story as exactly that: my experience. It is not advice for anyone else's skin or health.
That curiosity informs how I show up for every facial session at Altru Radiance. I see the skin as something worth listening to and caring for, and my role as an esthetician is to support how your skin looks and feels — and to help you understand it — so you leave looking refreshed, radiant, and more like yourself.
The holistic principles I bring into the treatment room are not separate from how I live my life. Postural awareness, a calm nervous system, and intentional daily habits are practices I return to consistently. Not because they are industry trends, but because I have experienced firsthand the profound shift that happens when you truly pay attention to how your body feels.
My senior husky, Roman, keeps me grounded. My daily routines keep me present. Everything I encourage a client to be mindful of (whether it is posture, breathwork, or grounding) I am actively practicing myself.
Every session begins with listening. Book your first appointment, or send me a note through contact. I’ll help you find the right starting point.
