The Soothe Lymphatic Drainage session is not a massage in the traditional sense. It is a structural and fluid reset — a full-body treatment that works with your lymphatic system, your fascia, and your body's unique architecture to flush what isn't serving you and rehydrate the connective tissue that shapes how you move and how you look.

Lymphatic drainage along the cervical chain supports fluid clearance around the airway and sinus passages — reducing the congestion that contributes to mouth breathing, sinus pressure, and disrupted sleep. This is not a side effect of the work. It is part of why the work matters.

This is the foundational treatment. Everything else we do together builds on a system that flows.

Key Benefits

  • Reduced fluid retention — Visibly flushes excess fluid and reduces bloating in the midsection and limbs
  • Fascial hydration — Deeply rehydrates connective tissue to improve mobility and skin elasticity
  • Improved circulation — Boosts blood flow to support your body's natural healing resources
  • Airway & sinus support — Cervical lymphatic drainage reduces congestion around the airway and sinus passages, supporting clearer breathing
  • Structural stability — Releases fascial restriction to help the body return to its natural upright posture
  • Nervous system regulation — Rhythmic technique promotes a deep sense of internal calm and structural ease

Who This Is For

  • Persistent bloating or heaviness in the body
  • Sluggish immune system or slow recovery
  • Visible fluid retention or puffiness
  • Sinus congestion or mouth breathing
  • Feeling posturally stuck or out of alignment
  • Anyone seeking a full-body detox and energetic reset

What to Expect

Lymphatic drainage uses specific, gentle rhythmic movements — nothing like deep tissue work. It is profoundly relaxing and often induces a near-meditative state.

Clients often notice a visible reduction in abdominal fullness and a lightness in their limbs immediately following the session. You may also feel a frequent need to use the restroom in the hours after — that is your body processing and eliminating the moved fluid. It is a good sign.

You will leave feeling unbound. Lighter, more fluid, structurally aligned.

A note on this service: The Soothe is a complete full-body experience on its own — but if you want to turn your session into a true whole-body retreat, each add-on below is designed to layer seamlessly with the lymphatic work and deepen your results. SPF is provided post-treatment to protect the skin as your system continues to process.

Pre-Treatment Care

Before Your Session
  • Hydration: Drink at least 16–20oz of water before your appointment — and electrolytes, spring water, or fruit in the 24 hours prior — to prime the lymphatic system for drainage.
  • Food: Avoid a heavy meal 1–2 hours before your session — abdominal work will be uncomfortable on a full stomach.
  • Alcohol: Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment.
  • Clothing: Wear or bring loose, comfortable clothing.
  • Health Conditions: Contraindications include active infections (including fever), blood clots (DVT), congestive heart failure, acute kidney failure, untreated cancer, post-surgical swelling, or lymphedema. Please disclose any of these at booking.

Post-Treatment Care

After Your Session
  • Flush the System: Drink plenty of water for the next 24–48 hours to help your kidneys process the toxins and fluids released.
  • Light Movement: Gentle walking is highly recommended to keep lymphatic fluid moving.
  • Avoid Salt & Alcohol: For the next 24 hours, avoid high-sodium foods and alcohol — these cause the body to retain water and can counteract the de-puffing results.
  • Rest: Listen to your energy levels. Some clients feel a burst of energy, while others feel very relaxed as the body enters a healing state.
Questions

Common Questions

How is this different from a regular facial?

A facial works on the surface — cleansing, exfoliating, hydrating. The Soothe works on the fluid system underneath. Most facial puffiness, jaw heaviness, and morning swelling isn't a skin problem; it's a fluid problem.

Manual lymphatic drainage moves the fluid that's hiding your bone structure. No machines, no products — just specific, methodical hand technique applied along the cervical and facial lymphatic chains.

When should I book — is this good before an event?

Yes. The Soothe is the ideal pre-event treatment for weddings, photoshoots, or any day where you want to look your sharpest. Book it 24–48 hours before the event for maximum visible result.

For ongoing inflammation or persistent puffiness, a series of weekly sessions builds a system that flows on its own — the depuff result becomes your baseline rather than a special occasion.

Is this the same as body lymphatic drainage?

It's part of the same system, but the work is different. Body lymphatic drainage focuses on limbs and torso — often used for post-surgical recovery.

The Soothe is a full-body protocol with emphasis on the cervical chain (neck) and facial lymphatics — the channels that drain the face and head. You feel it in your face, jaw, and breathing first.

What does the session feel like?

Profoundly relaxing. Lymphatic technique uses light, rhythmic pressure — nothing deep-tissue. Many clients fall into a meditative state, some briefly asleep.

You may feel a frequent need to use the restroom in the hours after — that's your body processing the moved fluid. It's a good sign.

Are there reasons I shouldn't book this?

Yes. Contraindications include active infection or fever, blood clots (DVT), congestive heart failure, acute kidney failure, untreated cancer, post-surgical swelling, and lymphedema. Please disclose any of these at booking and your session can be rescheduled or modified as needed.
