Salt Lake City has no shortage of day spas. What is harder to find is a practitioner who works with your facial architecture the way Mechelle does at Altru Radiance. The studio is in Murray, just south of the city. Most SLC clients arrive in 15 to 20 minutes.
Altru Radiance is a boutique aesthetics studio in Murray, Utah. The studio serves clients from across Salt Lake County, and Salt Lake City accounts for a meaningful share of them. From Sugar House, the 9th and 9th corridor, Capitol Hill, and The Avenues, clients make the 15-to-20-minute drive because what Mechelle offers is not replicated at the chain spas closer to home.
Every service here is a cosmetic service. The studio works with the look and feel of skin, the visible contour of the face, and the surface experience of the body. These are not medical procedures. That distinction matters, and it is part of why the work stands on its own terms.
The most common reason a new SLC client makes the drive: they have heard about the buccal facial. The Restorative Buccal Facial is a 90-minute session combining hands-on fascia work, manual lymphatic technique for the face, and Korean skincare. The result on a first visit is visible the same day. Skin looks clearer, the jawline appears more open, and the face carries a different quality of ease.
Other clients come for the Soothe. That is the full-body lymphatic service, with emphasis on the neck and torso. The Soothe is a 75-minute cosmetic session that supports the look and feel of the skin and leaves most clients feeling visibly less puffy and more settled in their body. It is a cosmetic service, not a medical treatment.
The Korean Aqua Peel is a third common first service for SLC visitors. It is a water-based exfoliation and infusion treatment with visible results after a single session. Clients often book it before an event or after a stretch of dry, dull winter skin.
90 minutes. Fascia-focused facial work, manual lymphatic drainage, and Korean skincare protocols. Visible lift in a single session. A cosmetic service that works with the connective tissue of the face and jaw. From $250.
75 minutes. Manual lymphatic work from the lower body up, with emphasis on the neck and torso. Supports the look and feel of the skin. Leaves the body looking and feeling noticeably lighter. A cosmetic service. From $250.
60 minutes. A precision facial combining sculpting technique, targeted extractions, and targeted skincare. The focus is on visible skin quality, contour, and clarity. From $140.
At or below 1.5 mm depth. A cosmetic skin-resurfacing service combined with targeted serums for visible skin texture improvement. Results build over a series. From $300.
Water-based exfoliation and nutrient infusion. Visible brightness and clarity after a single session. A low-downtime cosmetic service that pairs well with most other offerings. Ask about combining it with the Facial Architecture Ritual.
A dedicated cosmetic skin treatment for the back. Deep cleanse, exfoliation, and mask for clients who want to address skin texture and appearance in a harder-to-reach area.
An add-on or standalone cosmetic session using red-spectrum light. Often paired with other services to support skin appearance. Available as part of select programs.
Mechelle's background is holistic: she assesses the whole picture of what supports a person's appearance before focusing on any one area. This is a philosophy and an approach, not a medical claim. Scope of practice remains cosmetic throughout. Fascia-informed assessment means she looks at how skin, soft tissue, and surface tension relate to each other before deciding where to focus the session.
For Salt Lake City clients who have spent time in wellness culture, this language is familiar. The difference at Altru Radiance is that the work stays in the lane of beautification. The studio works only in the beautification lane. It works with what you look like and how your skin and surface tissue feel to you.
The studio is at 164 E 5900 S, Suite A108, Murray, Utah 84107. From downtown SLC, take I-15 south to the 5900 South exit. The drive is roughly 15 minutes in normal traffic. From Sugar House or Liberty Park, the most direct route is State Street south, which puts you at the studio in about 18 minutes. From The Avenues or Capitol Hill, I-15 south is faster.
Building parking is free. Fashion Place Mall is a few minutes away if you want to combine your visit. Suite A108 is on the first floor of the building.
Sessions begin with a brief intake where Mechelle asks about your skin, your goals, and any relevant history. She works through the session without interruption, following what the tissue communicates rather than a rigid script. Most clients find the experience more meditative than they expected.
On a first visit, the Restorative Buccal Facial or Facial Architecture Ritual are common starting points. If you are coming primarily for skin texture and clarity, the Aqua Peel or Microneedling series may be a better fit. Mechelle can help you decide at booking.
After your session, most clients are welcome to take their time before driving. Some feel energized. Others feel the need to rest and let the work settle. Both responses are normal.
Murray sits at the geographic center of Salt Lake County. For SLC residents, it is a short southbound commute that puts you at a studio without the parking challenges of downtown and without the generic feel of a mall spa. The 5900 South corridor is accessible, the building is quiet, and the sessions are by appointment only, which means no waiting room and no overlap with other clients.
SLC clients from the east side, the Avenues, Sugarhouse, and the University area find the drive worth making. The services are specific enough that there is no local equivalent. Mechelle sees clients Tuesday through Saturday, with weekend availability on Saturdays from 1 to 5 pm.

No. Every service at Altru Radiance is a cosmetic service, not a medical treatment. Mechelle is a licensed Utah Master Esthetician. No medical evaluation or medical intervention occurs here. If you have a skin or health concern that requires a physician, please see your doctor first.
For most new clients the Restorative Buccal Facial is the signature experience. For those focused on skin texture and clarity, the Korean Aqua Peel or Facial Architecture Ritual are strong starting points. The Soothe is right for clients who want to focus on the body and neck-torso area first.
